Publish or Perish

My brother Brad left a comment urging me to put some news on the blog.  This is almost like "publish or perish" in academia!

This evening Dave reports that the painters are largely finished with the second floor, and have put one coat of paint on the walls downstairs.  However, they had to return to Grand Haven and therefore will make another trip to Presque Isle to finish up.  The electrician showed up as promised and we now have lots of working outlets, lights, etc., throughout the house.  I've ordered a few more fixtures, so the electrician still has work to do.

Meanwhile, Dave tells me that the cement board is down in the areas which will be tiled — entry, bathrooms, mud room — and tomorrow he and Kyle expect to begin putting in cabinetry.  By the time I get back up north, the house should look very different! •••
