Lights, Camera...

Chosen Electrical was back this past week to complete electrical work for the house.  They installed all the light fixtures, outlets, switches and dimmers throughout the building, and made ready for a successful electrical inspection.

Track lights follow the masonry wall in the living room.

A small track unit will handle the wall between the living area
and kitchen — which is the most likely spot for a Christmas tree.

The laundry area has under-cabinet lighting.

This fixture in the master bath is from the same "family"
as the master bedroom sconces, only upside down.

Exterior floods are in place, too.

The electrical inspector's sign-off is one more
step toward final inspection of the house.

From a practical standpoint, all these fixtures provide Kyle and Dave much better lighting for their work on the house.  Before this they had just a few fixtures, mostly the wall sconces, and construction lights hauled from room to room.  That limited the work day — when the sun went down, they had to quit work.  Now, in most areas, they can actually see what they are doing regardless of the hour!

In addition, it brings completion of the house one major step closer, and makes it seem less a construction project and more a place to live.

The master bathroom tub has been drywalled, and the room
is now ready for painting.

Yesterday the local drywall contractor came by to finish off the walls in the master bathroom.  The area around the tub, and perhaps around the sink, will be tiled someday, as a follow-on project. •••
