Floors

The subcontractor who is doing the hardwood floors and carpeting started his work yesterday.  Dave tells me he watched as the guy began sanding and was very impressed with the result.  The floors were pretty dirty.  Even with construction paper taped down from the front door into the traffic corridor, a lot of mud has been tracked in over the past couple weeks.  However, as the the drum sander moved down toward the guest bedroom and bathroom, Dave said the change was immediate and striking.  He thinks the floors will be very handsome indeed.

I will try to get some photos tomorrow, but I'm not certain I'll be able to get inside if the finish is wet.  It just won't do for me to mess up those floors!  After all, patience is a spiritual virtue. •••
