Floor Photos

These photos came in last night, just as I was heading off to bed.  Attila was kind enough to go over and show me what Kyle and Dave had done last week.  I think it looks very attractive!  It gives the place character, and the light color will open up the spaces.

This bit of floor isn't covered, as it will sit under the
kitchen's island.  Note the variation in the wood's color,
which is characteristic of white oak.

Consider, too, the amount of labor that went into this — up and down to measure and cut, bending over or on one's knees to fit and nail, etc.  And the work isn't finished yet.  The floors still have to be sanded and sealed.

As noted earlier, Dave has also finished grouting the master bath, and will grout the mud room, ground floor guest bath, entry, and wood stove hearth this week.

Dave's camera reads the red tone in the woodwork more than my camera does.  The "honey oak" finish does have a definite red cast.  Thanks Attila!  Excellent photos! •••
