Sandy on the Move

(NASA Image)
Hurricane Sandy continues her slow progress northward.  The NOAA map shows her coming ashore in the DelMarVa area, probably on Monday evening.

Southern Virginia does not appear to be in the storm's path, and by mid-week most of the trouble will have moved north.  If so, a visit to my brother and his wife might be possible without much danger to life and limb.

Check out the NASA image.  This is a very big storm!  And the other systems Sandy is supposed to mate with — making her into "Frankenstorm" — must be those clouds over Canada.  Weather wonks even talk about snow in Ohio as a result of this system! •••
