Talk about campaign kitsch!  Over the past few days I've seen TV ads for "Chia Obama" and "Chia Romney," the latest manifestation of "Chia Art."  For $18 you can receive a bust of your favorite candidate, together with a packet of Chia Seeds.  Spread the seeds on your candidate's head, add water, and before long Mr. Obama or Mr. Romney will sport what looks like the green cap worn by operating room personnel.

I do wonder at times about the future of Western civilization. •••
