No Cure for Dumb

This afternoon I looked out my kitchen window and saw an ice fisherman walking to his ice shack... from his pickup truck which was parked beside the shack!

While the truck appears to be an old clunker — small loss if it goes through the ice — this is still risky behavior.  Not only is there a risk to the driver if he cannot exit the vehicle, but I believe the DNR tickets people who dump their trucks in a lake.  I also think that the owner must bear the cost of remediation if any oil or gas ends up in the water.

There's no cure for dumb. •••
