First Daylilies
My daylily planting is starting to produce blooms. The plants are all quite small, since most of their energy has gone into getting settled in. But 3-4 are sending up scapes and producing blooms, including this one. I have to dig out the planting diagram, but I think this is Beyond Thunderdome.
It normally takes three years for a daylily plant to become fully productive. This year's blooms will be a teaser for things to come. Now I have to start clearing the next third of the bed for another group of plants. And that means digging and hauling more rocks. Oh, joy! •••
