Forecast

The forecast for today was "Overcast with a chance of rain.  High of 50F.  Winds less than 5 mph."  Indeed, it is overcast, and we had a spattering of rain around Noon.  However, as I write the temperature is 41.6 degrees (feels like 30).  Wind is holding at about 25 mph, with gusts up to 34 mph.  It's rather chilly — that is, it's normal for this time of year — and the wood stove is doing yeoman service.

One year ago, March 28, 2012, Kyle and Dave were hustling to get the last construction details finished.  As they worked, Sears brought in my new appliances.  Dave added the last of the cabinet pulls (shown in the first floor bath below).  Kyle finished putting shelves in the bookcases, hung bi-fold doors for the mud room closet, and installed coat hooks at the front and service porch entries.  The guys also put up handrails in the stairwell.  Today is First Anniversary Minus One! •••
