This morning I'm off to the North to talk with a couple more contractors. Re-estimating the house is going to eat up a lot of time and delay the start of construction — but I see no alternative. One of my goals was to do a highly energy efficient house at a reasonable cost, so I have to see just how reasonable the cost can be.
Meanwhile, Heat'n Sweep in Okemos has received my wood stove from the manufacturer. It will go in the back of their warehouse for the time being. •••
