Here are photos from the 10:45 Eucharist on Sunday, May 30.
With Mark and Judith Edington between the services — note Mark's stole, executed in petit point by his mother Patricia of blessed memory, who also made my white ordination stole
David, a man of many gifts, playing with his jazz band during coffee hour — what a wonderful and unexpected treat!
David T. and kids dance up a storm to David S.'s music!
Elizabeth and Brad with Anna and Charlie — Charlie is clearly ready for some downtime!
Barbara, Andrea and Will — Will's leadership on the Search Committee, along with Co-Chair Lucy, kept our Searchers from falling into a ditch (we need a T-shirt reading Mathematicians Rock!)
Karen knows the blood pressure of half of St. John's members, and Eric knows (and has worked on) every nook and cranny of the physical plant
Fran, whose excellent paintings adorn the walls of St. John's, and Kathy, whose calm presence and wise counsel steadied the Interim Pastor more than once
Judy Edington chatting with Fr. Kenneth, who will step into the pastoral breach until Fr. Jared arrives
Lots of people like chamber music, but David and Athalia are the only folks I know who regularly host a chamber ensemble in their living room!
St. John's is truly a stairway to God trod my many feet. I could not have asked for a better place and community of faith as my last assignment! •••
