Spring in Ohio

My siblings and I are in Cleveland, Ohio, for a brief family reunion.  We sibs had a great time together last fall when Brad's son Justin married lovely Jen.  We talked about getting together again "before too long."  Then, earlier this year our cousin Mary, who lives in Florida, told us she was coming north for her 50th college reunion at Granville, Ohio.  That planted the idea for a family gathering not predicated on someone getting married or buried.

Now we are all assembled in one place, save for our cousins from Wisconsin.  Even Brad's son Scott is driving in from western New York.

Bob and David walked through over 50 houses before
settling on this split level.
The dogwood popped a couple days ago.
Brother Bob and David moved into their new home a few weeks ago.  This was our first visit, and their second set of guests under a new roof.  It's a lovely house, with an especially handsome dogwood at the front entrance.  I'm always amazed by what a little latitude will do.  Cleveland is already into early summer, while we who live north of the 45th Parallel are still trying to get shed of winter!

It's especially pleasant to have our cousin Mary with us for a few days.  She and her late husband lived for many years in the Florida panhandle, while my siblings and I lived mostly in the North.  As it turned out, our paths and Mary's crossed only infrequently.  This will be our first chance for sustained conversation in more years than I care to count! •••
